Resurrection............

WOW! So I'm again and have resurrected my blog after three years of nothingness. There are some of reasons for this.

The first being I even have moved!! I now reside in Australia's style capital, Melbourne, and it has re-energized my passion for apparel and style.Secondly, I even have determined to qualify myself with a Diploma in Professional Fashion Styling with the Australian College of Professional Styling and sincerely loving it!

OK, now for what we are here for - fashion.

What I even have learned on the grounds that dwelling in Melbourne is that guys's fashion is an awful lot extra various and distinguished than what I noticed in Wellington. I experienced for the first time, attending Melbourne Cup and of course had to go all out. This intended spending an exorbitant sum of money on an Arthur Galan in shape entire with tailored shorts for the typically warm Melbourne summer season. Here are some shots of me and my "group" (me within the shorts)

As you can see, these weren't taken at the Birdcage, however it was an opportunity for me to showcase my own style. My suit was a popular conversational piece for many people who I could hear comment on amongst themselves as well as directly to me. How do I top that next time?

In addition to attending the Melbourne Cup, I even have attended a number of charity activities for the Victoria Cancer Council allowing me more opportunities to discover my inner "fashion formal".

So, what can you count on from this blog?

I intend to take quite a few what I am gaining knowledge of from my Styling course and document into you, the reader. Some will be insightful, some may additionally sincerely be factoids but essentially, the facts I provide could be exciting and style based.

I can also be blogging about some observations approximately city - as previously blogged, and giving you my Top Tens.

For the ones which are new to my blog, I hope you experience what I bring to you, and for people who have followed me right from the start, I hope you continue to find this weblog exciting and informative.

Sharp or Street

Do you have got a choice?

Whether you dress in a pointy fashion designer in shape or decide to head approximately town in avenue wear can rely upon both a desire and/or the circumstance or state of affairs. There are men who will simply always wear sharp clothing regardless of what the condition or mood, and the identical for guys who like to get dressed in avenue wear.

Street Wear

Street wear is a fashion that has merely come about by means of what humans are sporting on the streets. Generally it's road bloggers that push the tendencies, by means of randomly taking pix of people sporting something in their own style and running a blog about it. Street put on or kinds of it have simply been round for years, however with the increase of fashion bloggers and of route celebrities like Justin Beiber Street Wear has become more of a now fashion. Street Wear consists of ordinary wear consisting of a shirt, some jeans shorts paired with possibly some chucks, a beanie or caps.

There are many different gadgets that convey a avenue wear look collectively. Below is a mood board I even have put together, care of Polyvore.Com showcasing some of my favored pieces of road put on.

Sharp Wear

The subsequent fashion I like to name Sharp Wear. It's a style or trend that does not necessarily have to fee a bomb. Sharp put on is a look that encompass suits satisfactory showcased through designers. Again types of it have been round for years. A sharp look can come in many special portions from jackets or coats, to fits, or shirts, but, the secret is within the form of the garb, and in some cases the color or pattern. Have a look around your work place a while at all of the guys sporting fits or work put on and see if you could spot the difference between a guy who looks sharp and someone who simply seems like they're sporting a blah sick fitting match with a shirt. The term for it was once "White collar" because it turned into actually that. Perhaps it nevertheless is called that.

Mixing and matching contrasts of colors and styles with ties and shirts is a outstanding way to drag off a pointy appearance. A narrow suit fit perhaps with a mild tartan sample is every other a extraordinary manner.

Below is any other temper board I put together showcasing some of my favorite pieces of sharp put on and of course the designers who created them.

Which is your favorite?

Orange is the new Black

Although there have been some of warm colorations proven inside the Fall 2013/14 collections this year, orange appear to me to stand out the most. Mainly because it's now not a dominant color commonly resonating with guys's clothing. It's one of these colors that appears incredibly taboo to put on. A bit like purple become some years in the past.

Above are a few ideas I have put together  in order to be Autumn 2014 ready.

Summer Trends 2013

Currently it's all about prints; floral, washed out, stone wash, denim and tie dye this summer.  Prints are everywhere from short sleeve shirts to casual and tailored shorts to (dare I say it) pants.

Neon colorings are also warm this summer - pinks, oranges, veggies and blues.

Below are some ideas on your summer time dresser based on one of my favored colours - Blue.

Enjoy.

Spotlight on........

Ashton Michael.

I found Ashton Michael even as watching ANTM cycle 20 which featured their clothing and the genius at the back of this garb.

Ashton Michael collections are futuristic, edgy but relatively rebellious designs that play with difficult and smooth textures and layered finishes. You will often see Ashton Michael designs in black and white with an androgynous street sense approximately them.

So who is the clothier in the back of this label?

That might be Ashton Hirota. Hirota who grew up in Los Angeles, debuted as a designer while he was19 years old with designs first being bought in NYC and Tokyo.

Today, Ashton Hirota customs designs for celebrities including will.I.Am, Chris Brown and R Kelly below his label Ashton Michael.

Ashton Michael's modern-day series for SS '14 is referred to as Ashton Michael - Black Crossed.

Styling my NYE.....

New Years is a time when you have an excuse to dress up, whether it's in theme or on fashion, because it's about champagne, cocktails, canap?S and fireworks and that means glamming or trending all of it out. Some may also even say pimping it up.

Traditionally, NYE has been my excuse to move head to toe in all white, (P Diddy style) however this 12 months I want to be extraordinary and I'm taking into consideration trying something very distinctive.

I'm heading to a ticketed NYE celebration in Melbourne this year and the theme is H2O. That's all excellent and right however when I look at what the get dressed code is, it states "Smart Casual".................

Wait Whhhaaaattt? WTF is smart informal and why are you making use of it to a NYE birthday party? Then a mild bulb is going on in my head. I can kill three birds with 1 stone. ( yes I are aware of it's 2).

1. I can pick my own theme,

2. It may be "Smart Casual", and

three. It's presently on fashion.

Oh hold on........There's genuinely a fourth fowl...

Four. I get to move purchasing for new clothes.

Shut the the front gate! You are saying.

So anyway, I'm currently digging the geeky chic trend  and wondering whether I can pull it off. Wait, I'm not wondering, I know I can! (He says with a nervous conviction).

So sure, this 12 months, I will be announcing goodbye to 2013 sporting warm specs, a smoking hot fedora hat, a bow tie and a waist coat all inside the call of "Smart Casual".

Below I actually have put together a few inspirational ideas that will help you or a person you recognize along with your geeky however chiccy appearance.

There are no outlet stores situated here so this means that standard retail prices will apply. Be prepared to pay up to $60 for a belt or $299 for a jacket or coat.

You won't really find bargains here, what you will find are stores full of trends style and sophistication.

It's one of my favourite areas because not only does it cater very well for men, it consists of many outlet stores that you will be sure to find a bargain at. The long double sided street is lined with stores, cafés and bars that will have you pacing up one side and down the other for hours.
